Create together.

Discover that you matter.

Find where you belong.

A creative community where young people turn their ideas into something of their own.

Kids Drawing Together

Young people need more
than places to learn.

They need places where they can:

Be themselves · Connect with others ·

Contribute · Try ideas ·Make mistakes ·

Work together · Create something they're proud of

The Creative Collective is being built around that idea.

CREATIVE COLLECTIVE FOR GRADES 4–12

The Creative Collective is designed for students in grades 4–12.

Every student experiences the same three core pillars:

Belonging. Collaboration. Ownership.

These pillars stay the same. The experience grows with the student.

GRADES 4–6

Students begin finding their creative voice while learning to collaborate, contribute ideas, and take ownership.

Belonging: Find their place in the group.
Collaboration: Listen, communicate, and create together.
Ownership: Choose ideas, take on roles, and see their contributions become part of the project.

GRADES 7–9

Students build greater independence while continuing to develop their creative voice and work with others.

Belonging: Build relationships and find their creative community.
Collaboration: Share responsibilities, solve problems, and make decisions together.
Ownership: Take greater responsibility for ideas, roles, and outcomes.

GRADES 10–12

Students build greater independence while taking on leadership and mentorship opportunities.

Belonging: Stay connected and contribute to the community.
Collaboration: Help guide projects and work alongside peers.
Ownership: Take greater responsibility for creative decisions and outcomes.

Mentorship: Develop leadership skills by mentoring, encouraging, and helping younger members of the Collective.

What We Build Through Creativity

Creativity is the vehicle.

Belonging, Collaboration, and Ownership

are what we're building.

BELONGING

I matter here.

Students experience a community where their ideas, presence, and contributions are valued.

COLLABORATION

We create together.

Students learn to communicate, listen, share responsibility, solve problems, and build something together.

OWNERSHIP

I have a voice in what we create.

Students make decisions, take meaningful roles, and have genuine influence over the project.

We give students a starting point.

They help shape where it goes.

Every project begins with a creative challenge, clear goal, and guidelines. Students bring their ideas, make decisions, and work together to shape the project.

Mentors provide guidance and support while students have a meaningful voice in what they create.

Their project could become:

A song

A music video
A collaborative artwork

A dance or movement piece
A theatrical performance

An electronic music project
Music or Sound for a game

A story or multimedia project
A rhythm/percussion project

The project can change.

The experience doesn't.

This Isn't Just Another Class.

A Different Way to Create Together

TRADITIONAL

An adult-led experience

The adult establishes the experience, teaches the skills, and guides students through the experience.

Adult → Activity → Student

COLLECTIVE

A shared creative experience

Students contribute ideas, make decisions, take meaningful roles, and work together to shape the outcome.

STUDENTS → IDEAS → DECISIONS → CREATION
Mentor guides the process

The difference isn't that students work together.

It's how much of the creative process they get to shape.

A Different Way to Create

Current Creative Experiences (What We Are Building First)

MUSIC
Create and produce original songs through songwriting, composition, recording, and collaboration.

TECHNOLOGY
Explore electronic music, sound design, music production, and creative technology.

PERFORMANCE
Develop and share original creations through live performances and showcases.

VIDEO & MEDIA
Create visual stories through music videos, digital projects, and multimedia experiences.

RHYTHM & COLLABORATION
Build group experiences through percussion, rhythm, and ensemble creativity.

Future Possibilities (Where We Can Grow)

As The Creative Collective grows, we hope to expand into additional creative areas through partnerships with artists, mentors, and community members.

VISUAL ART
Create collaborative artwork, designs, and visual experiences.

MOVEMENT & DANCE
Develop movement-based creative projects and performances.

STORYTELLING
Build stories through writing, music, film, performance, and other creative mediums.

More Creative Disciplines
Explore new ways for students to create, collaborate, and share their ideas.

These are only starting points.

Students help shape what they create.

Launching The Creative Collective

The Creative Collective is beginning with real creative experiences where students can collaborate, create, and bring their ideas to life. These early experiences will help shape the future of the program while giving students meaningful opportunities to create together.

3-HOUR CREATIVE PILOTS - DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR!

Small groups. Real projects. Meaningful ownership.

Short, focused creative experiences where students work together to turn an idea into something they can share.

The goal: Discover what becomes possible when students have meaningful ownership of a creative project.

2-WEEK SUMMER 2027 CREATIVE PROGRAM

Two weeks. One creative project. A final showcase.

Students meet Monday–Friday for two weeks in either a:

9:00 AM–12:00 PM
or
1:00 PM–4:00 PM

Over the two weeks, students have time to:

Imagine → Plan → Create → Revise → Share

The final day is a showcase, giving students an opportunity to share what they created with others.

The goal: Create an environment where students have the time, support, and ownership to bring their ideas to life.

Networking Event Gathering

More Than a Program

The Creative Collective is designed to become more than a place where young people participate in programs.

Coming in the Future: The Lounge

As The Creative Collective grows, we envision creating a dedicated space where young people can spend time creating, connecting, and collaborating beyond scheduled programs.

The Lounge could become a place to:

  • Work on projects

  • Hang out and connect

  • Share ideas

  • Meet other creative people

  • Explore different creative interests

  • Collaborate outside of scheduled programs

  • Celebrate each other's work

The Lounge is a future part of The Creative Collective — not currently available.

More than a collection of activities.
A community built around creating, connecting, and belonging.

Help Us Build It.

The Creative Collective is being built with the help of:

Parents
Students
Artists
Educators
